OCTOBER 7, Wednesday

It is Fall colors at their peak for our journey to North Conway Village, New Hampshire. We are met this morning at the Holland America dock in Quebec City. Traveling south we stop for lunch in the Canadian town of Sherbrooke. Following lunch we take a slight detour to Waterbury VT and a visit to Ben and Jerry’s Ice Cream factory. After a tour and a taste test we continue toward our hotel in North Conway, New Hampshire. Beginning at Lincoln, we take a trip through winding roads of the White Mountains on the often mispronounced Kancamagus highway. (For the record, it’s “Kang-ah-mangus,” or “the Kanc,” for short.). In just 34 miles, you’ll cover rivers, ponds, mountain passes, and, of course, beautiful views. Because the mountains here vary in elevation, we will catch beautiful colors throughout our journey as the upper pass reaches peak foliage in late September, up to two weeks before the lower passes do. We arrive at our hotel in time for dinner on our own.

OCTOBER 8, Thursday

We enjoy our included breakfast at the Grand Hotel before adventuring out for two historic rail experiences among the fabulous Fall colors. First, we relive the golden days of                                                          railroading traveling aboard                                                                        an elegant dining car, part of                                                                      our first class dining package.                                                                    We enjoy dining off the menu                                                                  complete with friendly and                                                                  attentive service,  where the                                                                beautiful autumn views are                                                                      constantly changing. Lunch is                                                         prepared on board to your                                                                     order and served with warm,                                                                 friendly Yankee hospitality.

Our coach driver meets us at Fabyan Station and transfers us to the Mt. Washington Cog Rail Station for another spectacular rail adventure.  We experience a sense of adventure and history on the 3-hour guided train tour to the highest peak in the Northeast. With approximately one hour to spend at the 6,288 foot summit, we take in the spectacular panoramic view, spanning the mountains and valleys of New Hampshire, Maine and Vermont, north into Canada, and east to the Atlantic Ocean. Our descent is on the western slope and if the weather is clear, we should have a spectacular sunset. After dinner on our own, we go to the nearby Fryeburg County Fair in Maine for the evening.

OCTOBER 9, Friday
After breakfast we journey back to Boston and continue to absorb God’s colorful canvass.

In the early afternoon, we check in at our Hilton Hotel at                              Logan Airport. We say goodbye to our coach driver and                        quickly travel by subway to the heart of historic Boston.                          There is no better way to get a sense of the Revolutionary                          struggle that changed our nation's destiny than with a stroll                          along Boston's Freedom Trail. You may walk along the                              historic Freedom Trail on your own with a downloadable                        phone app or just cover it via a tour map. Along the trail are                    Paul Revere’s House, Old North Church, the Old State                              House and Faneuil Hall, a gathering place of the early                    revolutionaries.

You will see places where history was made!  Places where high treason, mob agitations, revolutionary actions, and partisan fights of the American Revolution occurred. Discover the rich history of the America Revolution, as it began in Boston, where every step tells a story.

This evening we have a reservation for dinner on our own at The Union Oyster House, located near Faneuil Hall (where most walking tours ends.) It enjoys the unique distinction of
being America's oldest restaurant. This Boston fixture, in a building dating back to Pre-Revolutionary days, started serving food in 1826 and has continued ever since with the stalls and        oyster bar in their original positions. Daniel Webster was a constant customer. Group return to hotel via subway or you may linger and return on your own.
