About International Christian Journeys
International Christian Journeys has deep roots both in Israel and in Christian experience.
In the 1950s Zeev Gordon began serving the traveling public in Israel. He built what has become one of the largest privately-held wholesale travel companies in Israel. He also raised two sons. One of them is now the President of Gordon Tours, the company Zeev founded in Israel. The other is one of the principals of International Christian Journeys Cupertino, California.
Udi Gordon
In 1982, still working as a Silicon Valley engineer, Udi Gordon opened Hadar Travel & Tours, specializing in Jewish travel to Israel. Family contacts in Israel, the Middle East and Europe caused his business to expand rapidly. Soon Christian pastors took advantage of Hadar’s excellent services and prices. In 1985, Udi decided to devote full attention to travel. In 1995, he partnered with a New York based Christian travel company under the new name of Journeys Unlimited West and they served thousands of Christian travelers. In 2000 the New York operation sold their portion of the company to a large conglomerate and Udi severed ties with them. In 2002 he joined in a new partnership with Ken Carter as International Christian Journeys.
Ken Carter
Before forming International Christian Journeys with Udi, Ken served Christian music directors and Christian college drama leaders with choir tours to Europe and theatre trips to New York and London. Ken and Udi now maintain the Arts concentration in an affiliated company called Journeys In The Arts.
Ken is an ordained minister. Before his travel career, he served several churches as minister of music and traveled worldwide with the Billy Graham Association, BGEA Associate teams and Crusade Evangelism of Canada as soloist and choral director.
The new combination of companies now provides complete tour services for Christian leadership. Destinations for pastors include the Holyland, first and foremost; but also include enriching tours to Christian Heritage England; Reformation Germany; Church Faith, History and Art in Italy; Footsteps of Paul in Greece, and Greece. The “arts” emphasis for Christians includes custom choir tours to Europe, art study trips for colleges, and fellowship theatre trips to London and New York.
ICJ is financially sound. As an example, during a recent downturn in travel worldwide, we returned 100% (almost $2 million) of all the monies deposited with us for trips that were cancelled.
So, pick a date, ask your people to come with you and we’ll take it from there. You do not have to be “the guide” on your trip. You are the host. We provide a knowledgeable and qualified guide for you in your destination country.
